Learning Development collaborates with students to cultivate and bolster independence in academic, study, mathematical, and statistical skills. We engage with students through various approaches:
We conduct lectures and workshops to impart program-specific skills and bolster your academic progress.
In our one-to-one tutorials, we foster an inclusive and supportive atmosphere while demonstrating effective practice skills. Our staff is equipped with extensive expertise and years of teaching experience. While they may not address inquiries concerning specific subject content or submissions, they excel in cultivating skills related to academic writing conventions, critical thinking, and numerical and statistical skills essential for higher education. Learning Development Mentors, current and past learners at BSBN, provide guidance through dialogue to support your learning journey. Due to their student status, they cannot review your written work. However, they are available to assist through booked sessions or one-to-one tutorials, leveraging their own perspectives to aid peers with academic and study skills, such as note-taking, assessment structure, time management, referencing, presentations, and exam techniques.
In Level 1, students will be introduced to the realm of social impact, acquiring insights into the significance of cultivating a social impact mindset for their personal and professional growth.
Changemaker Certificate Level 2 is centered on students acquiring hands-on experience through work-related learning. Collaborating with the Changemaker Team, students identify opportunities aligned with their development objectives. This experiential learning encompasses two categories, which can be linked to placements or projects within the curriculum.
Changemaker Certificate Level 3 centers on students articulating their growth journey through a presentation to a panel, providing them with a platform to narrate their social impact narrative.
