1. General Statement of Policy

Bradford School of Business and Care is committed to ensuring a fair and transparent refund process for all students. This policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be issued, the required documentation, and the procedures for applying for a refund. Our goal is to provide clarity and consistency while ensuring compliance with UK laws and regulations.

2. Aim of the Policy

The aim of this policy is to:

  • Provide clear guidelines on eligibility and procedures for refunds.
  • Ensure a fair and transparent process for students seeking refunds.
  • Protect BSBS’s resources by implementing consistent and lawful refund practices.
  • Maintain trust and confidence in our financial procedures.

3. Policy Objectives

  • Outline specific circumstances where refunds are permitted.
  • Clarify the non-refundable elements of enrolment and tuition fees.
  • Define the responsibilities of BSBS and students regarding refund applications

4. Policy Guidelines

4.1 Refund Eligibility

4.1.1 Before the Course Start Date

4.1.1.1 Non-Refundable Fees:

  • Administration fees, such as the application fee, fees for changing modules/courses or late payment charges or charges associated with recognition of prior learning as per individual course Fee Schedule.

4.1.2 After the Course Start Date

No refunds will be issued in the following cases:

  • Breach of the code of conduct leading to expulsion.
  • Withdrawal due to poor attendance or academic performance.
  • Early course withdrawal.

4.1.3 BSBS’s Responsibilities

  • Full refunds will be issued if BSBS is unable to offer the advertised course within six months of the start date.
  • Refunds will be granted in cases where visa refusal is caused by errors or omissions by BSBS.

4.2 Refund Procedures

4.2.1 Application Requirements:

  • Refund requests must be submitted in writing using the appropriate refund application form, signed by the student.
  • Required documentation includes visa refusal letters, refusal stamps on passports, and any relevant correspondence from BSBS.

4.2.2 Refund Timelines:

  • Refunds will be processed within eight weeks of receiving a complete refund application.

4.2.3 Payment Methods:

  • Refunds are issued via bank transfer.

4.2.4 Appeals:

  • Students may appeal a refund decision by submitting a written request to the Management. The Management’s decision is final.

5. Responsibilities:

5.1 Bradford School of Business and Care

  • Maintain clarity regarding non-refundable fees and refund eligibility in promotional and enrolment materials.
  • Ensure all refund requests are processed promptly and fairly.

5.2 Students

  • Submit refund applications promptly with all required documentation.
  • Notify BSBS within two months of appeal hearing results to claim eligible refunds.

6. Monitoring and Review

This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure continued compliance with relevant laws and best practices. Updates will be communicated to all students and relevant stakeholders.
