INTRODUCTION FROM OUR CEO

BSBC is the latest addition to Klaspad's campuses. Bradford is still the sixth largest city authority in the UK, in terms of population, after London, Birmingham, Leeds, Glasgow, Sheffield and Manchester. There is a sizeable BAME community in the region. 26% of the population being under 18. This means there will be good flow of new entrants. We feel that the area has a huge potential as there are only 3 HE and FE providers. With only 68.1% of people in the age group 16 to 64 employed in September 2022 (Source: https://www.ons.gov.uk/visualisations/labourmarketlocal/E08000032/), there is a need of an education provider that focusses on employability, diversity and sustainability.

As CEO of Klaspad that owns the BSBC campus, I take immense pride in upholding the esteemed legacy of high quality learner centric education. Our guiding principle of providing life long learning and empowering others to achieve their goals is reflected in everything we do at BSBC.

We work with global organisations that support diversity and inclusion.

Our strategy for development of the BSBC can be downloaded from the link below.

Now, it's our turn to meet the challenge head-on and collaborate to bring to fruition the campus in Bradford as envisaged by the governing body. I eagerly anticipate every phase of this journey and extend an invitation for you to join us.

Afterword

I am honored to pen this afterword for the University of BSBC new strategy. My colleagues and I are privileged to serve as its trustees, offering a wealth of experience spanning the private, public, and voluntary sectors, all of which depend on the teaching and research provided by higher education.

The Board wholeheartedly supports this strategy and extends gratitude to the dedicated efforts of the University's staff, students, and leadership in its development. Drawing from my experience in the corporate sector and serving on various higher education institution boards, I understand the significance of incorporating diverse viewpoints in strategic planning. This inclusive approach has been integral throughout the process of crafting the document before you. I am confident that you will find it charts a clear course for the University, laying the groundwork for future success.

Throughout the timeframe outlined in this strategy document, the University will undergo a pivotal transition from its early stages to maturity. Our goal now is to set a standard for excellence in the sector, particularly in terms of social impact and inclusivity. By steadfastly adhering to our mission and values, we aspire to become a beacon of best practices that will positively influence our local, national, and global communities.
